Language Laboratory
Today, the ability to communicate effectively counts more for one’s career growth. The Anna University has taken cognizance of the job-pulse and has introduced Technical English and Communication Skills in the curriculum to infuse confidence in the students. In our College, a Communication Skills Lab. has been set up with the aim of offering effective training in improving the presentation skills of the students. The main objective of this Lab. is to equip the students of Engineering with effective speaking and listening skills in English and to enhance students’ performance in Interviews, Group Discussions and other Recruitment exercises.
The Lab software packages has 66 Pentium-IV work stations plus one server for the teacher. There are two softwares namely English Mastery and Globarena to make the students familiar with the basic language skills. The Lab. offers an opportunity to learn English and to enable the student to get placed in reputed national and multi-national companies. This Lab. is very much helpful in language teaching as well as developing interactive and group communication skills in an effective manner.
