ABOUT V.S.B. ENGINEERING COLLEGE

V.S.B. Engineering College is founded by V.S.B. Educational Trust in the year 2002. It is located on NH-67 about 13 kilometers from Karur on Coimbatore road and spread across 50 acres of lush green campus with around 4,50,000 sq.ft. built-up area. Our College is an ISO 9001:2008 Certified Institution with an intension to provide value-based technical education and mould the students for Industry demands and requirements. The human infrastructure in turn is replete with a team of around 195 dedicated and well-qualified faculty members who are imparting quality education to around 2600 students.

In addition to regular teaching, we are encouraging our students through Training & Placement Cell, Entrepreneur Development Cell (EDC) and Higher Education Cell (HEC) to develop their Organizational, Leadership and Soft Skills. Our Institute has established Research and Development Centre (RDC) which currently focusses on cutting edge technologies in Science and Engineering. The consistent and good academic performance made our students secure 35 University Ranks and 1 Gold Medal coupled with excellent placement record of 469 portrays the quality of education being provided in our Institution. We have established various Students’ chapters such as IEEE, IETE, ISTE and CSI to help forge active networks and develop professional skills. Our Institution which is committed to quality education offers Seven Undergraduate courses in Engineering and Technology and Six Postgraduate Programmes. Our Institute has modern laboratories, a well-stacked library with 29820 volumes of books, 128 National Journals. and a Digital Library with a massive collection of 886 online journals, database like Science Direct, IEEE, ACME, ASME, JGate, Springer, Emerald, ASTM and NPTEL Videos. State-of-the-art infrastructure in this campus includes latest computing facilities with 860 Computers and 12 MBPS dedicated leased line for Internet connectivity.

Our Institute has been ranked as one of the Top Promising Engineering Colleges of Excellence with 21st Position in India and 13th Position in Tamil Nadu by CSR-GHRDC Engineering Colleges Survey 2012. Our College has been ranked as one of the Best Engineering Colleges in Tamil Nadu with the rating “AA” by Careers360 Magazine in the Best Engineering Colleges 2012 survey. Our College stands in the Top 10th Position amongst the 125 Affiliated Institutions to Anna University of Technology, Coimbatore during the last academic year. Our Institute is accredited by Tata Consultancy Services and associated with HCL Technologies, Tech Mahindra, UST Global. Our Institute has a Modern Language Laboratory which helps to hone the communication skills of our Students.
